I bought this without questioning that it would be American made. Like most other recently manufactured Gerber products, this is made in China (communist China for you old-timers). I would have bought Estwing or another brand if I had known this. Overall, the quality appears to be satisfactory, so I suppose it might possibly be worth half of what I paid for it, considering the sweatshop labor costs.Get more detail about Gerber Gator Axe II Saw Combo.
