This watch is extremely difficult to program. I used the written instructions, downloaded the PDF manual, and tried the online tutorial. A combination of all three eventually did the trick after an hour of trial and error, but each one was fairly useless on its own. The instructions are not very detailed, for example - they never explain how to tell if the time is displayed in AM or PM. I had to change the display to 24hr in order to determine how it was set. Also, the instructions never explain what the pedometer sleep timer is or how to use it. I have never had so many problems setting up an electronic device before. Most of the time I barely need to follow the instructions to figure it out and this time I could barely figure it out with three different sets of instructions. This really needs to be fixed because most people don't have an hour to figure out how to access the Main Menu. I haven't even had a chance to use the watch yet, so hopefully they spent more time on the mechanics of the watch than they did explaining how to use it.
